Welcome to the Leicester Malt Club. Founded in 2008, to bring together like minded whisky enthusiasts to explore the wonders of the whisky world. The club aims to try as many fine spirits as possible in a fun and relaxed environment.
Over 1000 different whiskies tasted to date!

Last Months Tasting

Big thanks to all those who joined us for our August tasting. Our exploration into port and port influenced whiskies opened a few eye to the unique Portuguese spirit. In a closely scored tasting the complex Glendronach Portwood, with its mix of sherry and port maturation just pipped the full bodied Kavalan Solist Pork cask!

Results are as follows …

3 - Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14yo (214 points)

4 - Ardbeg Spectacular (206 points)

5 - Glencadam White Port Cask (185 points)

Members Tasting

This month we let the members pick the whiskies. Everybody has been ask to provide a list of 3 whiskies that they have always wanted to try or wanted to see on a tasting. A line up of whiskies will be then devised for all of us to enjoy.
